I want to continue to learn but I don't know enough about the Web. There is so much out there. Every day more and more is added.
To gain knowledge or skill: to come to know how
Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Willing is not enough we must do. - Goethe

Lesson #26 What I think
I had so much fun doing K.C.L.S. Learning 2.0-27 Things. This was such a blast. Working 30 hours at the Library, keeping the Books for my husband's business and watching my 2 grandsons one day a week while my daughter-in-law is back in school, I didn't have the time to take the compute class I wanted to this year. Participating in Learning 2.0 was the next best thing.
My favorite exercises: Blogging
Blogliner
Google Doc
LibraryThing
What I like about these 4 exercises I can really use them in my day-to-day life.
What surprise me? How hard some of the web sites were to get into. How each web sites has its own language, different words for the same functions. How some of the staff member were able to do the exercise in different way but end at the same ending.
I was so glad for fellow staff members' help. Valerie as the main helper. We had a great time talking about each week's lesson, what lesson we were at and what we did to completed the lessons.
I wanted to go hear the speakers. It would be nice to have different places to go and have a satellite conference hookup or a vt of the speakers to take home to watch.
I think we need to continue this program. It is hard to keep up with the moving technologies. Library-relevant technologies is moving so fast without help, most of us can't keep up. having someone to pass on the information will help us with our patrons. Just to know the languages, helps us to keep on the same step with them or maybe one or two steps ahead.
I am so glad I participated. I am keeping my notes and I will keep most of my websites active. Working for the K.C.L.S. for about 20 years I have to say this was the most fun.
Thank You.
